A Hyggelig welcome

Hyggelig (pronounced Hew-Ger-ly) is a Danish term used to describe a moment or a feeling. Without a direct translation into English, the best example would be you know that moment that brings a happy sigh and big smile? Hyggelig Photography sets out to take those little Hyggelig moments in your life and create them into your own little piece of art. Please visit our hallway galleries and recent updates to discover for yourself, then contact Janet to setup your own Hyggelig session.

As promised more Giant Panda photos!

We call them Dad’s Pandas, because for the last 2.5 years Janet’s Dad one of Adelaide Zoo’s curators has been working hard (amongst many other awesome people of course!) to get Wang Wang & Funi to the Adelaide Zoo. Such a huge undertaking, from design of enclosures, trips to China, dressing up as a Panda for promos, dancing in the Christmas Parade this year… even down to making sure the Pandas like the Aussie Bamboo! But great news is they’re settling in well.. We got to visit them on Boxing Day when we were home for Christmas, still behind quarantine glass but still gorgeous and show pony’s nonetheless.. Wang Wang was quite happy to sit in front of everyone and enjoy his breakfast. Yes you can can get this close too, we’d recommend getting there early. Throughout January you can even book a champagne breakfast with Wang Wang & Funi

PS  don’t forget to vote! Hyggelig Hallways 2009 showcase is still on display! Link all your friends and family, theres an awesome prize worth $200.00 just for voting!
