Atticus is my baby, I delivered him into the world and have watch him grow up to be such a handsome young man! He is soo placid and is full of snuggles. When Ruth from Ruthless Leather & Photos said she was coming to town, I was more than happy to put my Atticus’ paw up as a model for one of her awesome collars! Make sure you check them out, handmade with leads or human cuffs to match!!! He did us proud, sat perfectly (in between quick spurts of ner ner ner im off lead your not to Scout)… Thanks again Ruth for inviting us down, and GREAT to finally meet you!!!

Nothing better than a Staffy smile to make your day!

Its no secret Staffies are close to our hearts, since we own 2 of them… Here is a family of 3 who are just as adorable…. helps that the lil one on the right is one of Scouts babies, still cant get over how much he looks like her!

If you wanted to look up the defination of adore, there would be a photo of my Staffies, their breed is reknown for being such people dogs… and my 2 are no exception… My dogs adore me, and I adore them… they are my furry babies… Cant help but share these couple while I’m working on the client gallery… I photographed a beautiful belly on Friday she didn’t stray far from me… and just wanted to be part of the fun !!

I’ve been a little slack updating the blog with my photo a day challenge.. so here goes!

10-1-10 Mail  -the furry babies got mail today, from their awesome vet Rhonda in the village… Looks like its jab season again! Family trip to the vet is in order with the 2 dogs and a cat… Mind you much easier than the 8 pups we had last time we scheduled a visit

11-1-10 Hot    - Yup that says 51 out and 32 in… and as I type (11:28pm) its 36 out and 34 in… The furry babies have all had a quick cold water rinse, much to their initial dismay… they seemed to understand eventually… maybe next summer we’ll have airconditioning…

Happy Australia Day! We have great weather here in Melbourne and are spending the day at home with the BBQ and some great friends.

But nothing beats a picnic! A couple of weeks ago we met some friends in the Melbourne Botanical Gardens down by the Lily pond. The location was gorgeous, so green and lush, such great inspiration for photos and a grand idea which we’re going to launch soon! So stay tuned…

8-1-10  I want your dinner mum

9-1-10 Date Night…. Janet  worked til 9pm tonight at her “other” job, but we decided at about 1030 to make it date/movie night… Out came the popcorn, iced coffee and tim tams. We laughed at Atticus barking at the microwave to the sound of the corn popping and Janet jumped everytime she heard a gunshot in the movie (there were lots it was a Tarantino)

Now we’re about to get personal…. We mentioned yesterday that with our rebrand we decided to keep Hyggelig Photography as something that truly represents us.  So along with the idea of getting to know us better, a few photographers including Janet have set a challenge to take a photograph a day during January. Usually taken of something that might represent a moment from your last 24hours. Janet is even toying with the idea to make it a 365 day challenge, but we’ll cross that bridge at the end of the month. To funk up the challenge, Janet has decided to use her iPhone and an awesome app called Polarize
You will probably notice our dogs or affectionally known as our “furry babies” appear a lot… Here comes the 1st 5 days…

1-1-10 Hangova ~ the Dogs have a bigger hangover than us on New Years Day

2-1-10 Me Too ~ Michael &  his builder buddy have been finishing off the plasterboard in my office (*insert squeal*) and all Atticus has wanted to do all day is join in with the boys… usually he’s chewing the plasterboard.. Then theres Scouty she just likes the company

3-1-10 Boyzrm ~ We are in the middle or perhaps you could say just the start of our house renovations… since all the expensive stuff is still left Converting the front bedroom, to my office.. it was only fair Michael got his own lil place of worship…the carport has been closed in and will be become the “boys room”… Janet’s office was “boarded up” yesterday, today the garage was undercoated and should be water tight now.  Michael scored an old hand me down tv…. and today the PS2/guitar hero graduated to the boys room… Janet’s not complaining

4-1-10 Already ~ Enough said

5-1-10 Sook ~ Did he get in trouble? No.. (not today anyway) Has he been feed? Yes.. Puppy dog eyes, because Dad/Michael left the house and didnt take him too… Atticus is a big joy-ride fan. Janet’s even had to take him on a supermarket run before, because he jumped into the car and wouldnt get back out again!

Well Christmas has come and gone, and time to celebrate the coming of the New Year…

.. And we still don’t have air-conditioning at home… so a little distracted today and thought I’d share something more personal than my usual client work,  some “almost” Summer fun with friends… I think this is the best part of the warmer and longer days coming up, just relaxing with friends and I love being able to capture some of that to look back on! Of course I’m not bias by the dogs at all, especially since they’re my baby’s babies …  Email me if your interested in me sneaking in, on your relaxed Friday nights, or Sunday afternoons to capture some of your Hyggelig moments with friends or fur..
