A bunch of mixed feelings – Melbourne Pet Photography

Its never easy saying goodbye, my doggy mate Ollie the Staffy who belongs to a close friend, was put to sleep today.
Always mixed emotions, he was so sick but its hard to let go…

I was glad to make a visit and big drive to Mt Beauty to catch up with this awesome dude of a dog for one last time and capture some memories for his Dad…
So this combines my mixed joy of being able to photograph him yesterday and stuffing his belly full of treats! But sad to look at the images today knowing he’s no longer with us…
RIP lil mate…

If your furry animals are as big a part of your family like mine, you’ll understand how important it is to have some gorgeous portraits to keep!

A morning with Friends – Melbourne Child Photographer

Is it possible to get used to warm weather so quickly? Visting friends in Queensland this weekend the weahter was such a nice change to the miserable winter we’ve had down here in Melbourne…. And I seriously miss it!!

Although Monday morning when I caught up with close friends it was a little wet when Kel & I took the boys out for a mini session on the golf course across the road from my hotel room… Oh boy big Mstr A he was a bit tricky and made me work for a couple of smiles But im sooo glad I got to see so much of his character! been too long between visits! And to meet wee Mstr O for the 1st time was awesome…

Hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad, I keep laughing at your little guys facials LOVE IT! he’s such a little dude!

Now if only we could bring some of the QLD sunshine down here, and I’ll be smiling goofy too!

Meet Francie, a gorgeous little treasure I was lucky enough to photograph with Gemma from Iris Creations Photography this week.

A friend and fellow photographer Fo Carson from Bec + Fo in Brisbane put out an sos call to us when she knew that a Melbourne trip wasnt possible to capture Francie’s newborness herself.

I love this part of my job… knowing that you’ve been able to capture a moment in time that will be loved forever…

Atticus is my baby, I delivered him into the world and have watch him grow up to be such a handsome young man! He is soo placid and is full of snuggles. When Ruth from Ruthless Leather & Photos said she was coming to town, I was more than happy to put my Atticus’ paw up as a model for one of her awesome collars! Make sure you check them out, handmade with leads or human cuffs to match!!! He did us proud, sat perfectly (in between quick spurts of ner ner ner im off lead your not to Scout)… Thanks again Ruth for inviting us down, and GREAT to finally meet you!!!

I first took photos of Patti when she was 16weeks
Just before she hopped on a plane back home to the Goldcoast we managed a quick session at Gemma’s studio (thanks Gem!) …
Next time I see Patti, we’ll be meeting & photographing that little bundle out in the world! Cant wait

Remember Nat one of my Mumma-2b’s? Well the lil fella weighing over 9pounds finally arrived almost two weeks late, and after the longest labour ever, Nat your a champion!
Welcome to the world Mstr Callan… looking forward to many more cuddles & photoshoots to come!

Along with Gemma from Iris Creations, close friend & newborn photographer extraordinaire we photographed Callan on Saturday, just 9 days old…

Nat & her husband Kevin met in Paris on the Eiffel Tower, so it was only natural for us to photograph their first born beside a replica, wearing a beret Gemma had knitted especially

Last week I had the chance to fly home for a couple of days to Adelaide, catch up on Mum’s cooking, Dad’s stories & see how my niece is growing up! Oh boy, from December to May is a long time when your niece turned 2 in March… Funny to hear her talking, and having such a huge opinion on life! Going to have to make sure next visit is not so far apart…
